"Points of Presence" shows video images projected onto a rotating 12 x 6 ft screen. Two 12 feet long aluminum arms extend in opposite directions above the upper edge of the screen. Two suspended projectors at each arm end, orbit slowly around the screen (1 rpm) projecting two different images on each side of it. Video images show 360* panoramas that rotate with exactly the same speed that the screen they are being projected on, creating a fully imersive vision of the sites.

The rotating screen could be compared with a three-dimentional scanning device. This work is a continuation of a series of installation and video projects in which idiosyncratic elements of particular urban environments are visually interwoven and juxtaposed with one another.

“Points of Presence” shows public places and residential neighboorhoods tracing opposing concepts of modernist and postmodernist design of urban living involving views of New York, Mexico City, Paris and Shanghai. Yet culturally different, the cities posses neighborhoods with exceptional sites of (post)modern high-density residential concepts.

“Here life works different…” is an interactive video installation that responds to the presence of the participants in the space. Through the “navigation” of an architectural space, monitored by a video tracking system, the participant composes his/her own experience of images, sounds and texts that are activated according to his/her coordinates and movement in the space.

Spiral Memory is a four channel video installation in which the spectators are immersed in the audiovisual experience of a circular narrative structure. Video travels to transform from one screen to the next. Spiral memory is edited to give the impression of a loop that in reality never happens. Images and sound shift to give a spatial representation of a state of mind, of the spiral of eternal return.
